Pfullendorf is in the Linzgau region between the Danube Valley and Lake Constance. There are different ways to shape your stay: take a stroll through the lovingly restored historic Old Town, explore local history and traditional crafts at the Bindhaus, or enjoy trails and water activities at Seepark Linzgau. Marked hiking, walking and cycling trails also lead through the surrounding countryside. When planning your trip, you can start by deciding which experiences you would like to shape your days.

Old Town and Bindhaus

Discover the historic Old Town on a walking tour. Information panels in the Old Town show your current location, provide information about sights and indicate the route of the town tour. This helps you find your way around and gives you an overview of the stops you might like to explore further.

The Bindhaus focuses on local customs, history and traditional crafts. Built in 1499, the building belonged to Pfullendorf Hospital and served as a granary. Museum exhibits include an old general store, a traditional classroom, historic weights and measures, and objects related to pharmacy. These objects bring topics such as shopping, schooling and historic measurements to life. The displays may change. The town’s history can also be placed in context: Pfullendorf received its town charter in 1220 and was a Free Imperial City from 1282 to 1803.

Seepark, Water and Trails

Seepark Linzgau is located at the western entrance to town and is designed as a family-friendly park with walking paths, playgrounds and a water play area for children. Facilities at the bathing lake include beach volleyball, a sunbathing lawn and a children’s bathing area. Other activities include wakeboarding at Wakepark, diving at the dive center and adventure golf at Seepark. Bathing facilities and other seasonal amenities may change; check which options are available during your visit before you go.

There are also plenty of ways to get active away from the water: Pfullendorf has signposted walking routes of about 3 to 5 kilometers. The network of marked trails also includes hiking and cycling routes, among them sections of the Way of St. James. The eastern route of the German Timber-Frame Road comprises 13 day trips from the Neckar to the Black Forest and passes through Pfullendorf and Ostrach on its way to Lake Constance. This offers options for both a short walk and longer routes when planning your days.
