Nature and outdoor activities
The Elendsklamm is a natural monument in Bruchmühlbach-Miesau, home to rare flora and fauna. The Kneipp facility in Vogelbach was established in 1977 and renovated in 2009; a shelter is located beside it. From the parking lot by the sports field, it takes about five minutes to walk along a forest track to the facility. No particular level of fitness is required.
The Bruchmühlbach-Miesau sports trail has eleven stations for simple fitness exercises surrounded by nature. Please note that the route of the Sagenhafter Waldpfad (Legendary Forest Trail) has changed: the section between Bruchmühlbach and Vogelbach has been permanently rerouted due to an acute risk of landslides. Permanent signs mark the detour.
Swimming and practical information
The Bruchmühlbach-Miesau heated outdoor pool has a heated swimming pool with four 25-metre lanes and two 50-metre lanes. It also has a 5-metre diving tower and diving boards at heights of one and three metres. The outdoor pool is accessible to visitors with disabilities and wheelchair users; pool access aids and designated disabled parking spaces are available. Bruchmühlbach-Miesau has a stop on the Ludwigshafen–Saarbrücken railway line and is also a hub for bus routes to Waldmohr, Homburg/Saar, Kusel, Zweibrücken, Ramstein and Landstuhl.
