Manschnow offers concrete points of interest for a range of travel interests: the Oder-Neiße Cycle Route passes through the village, local history is reflected in named memorial sites, and gardening has been part of local tradition for more than 100 years. You can therefore choose your own focus for your trip: cycling, historical topics, or flowers and gardening.

Manschnow is centrally connected to federal highways 1 and 112. If road access is important when choosing where to stay, you can take it into account alongside local points of interest. The quarter-mile marker stands beside federal highway 1 at kilometer 6.4; a Soviet cemetery of honor is located on Friedensstraße. As of January 1, 2026, both were listed as protected monuments. The royal watermill in Manschnow dates from 1745. The roadside marker, cemetery of honor and mill thus represent different historical points of reference in the village.

Gardening, the Flower Festival and village life

Gardening has a tradition of more than 100 years in Manschnow. A horticultural business produces vegetables and potted plants in greenhouses and operates a flower shop and a seasonal greenhouse shop there. Alongside the history of individual buildings, growing plants is therefore another distinctive feature of Manschnow. The annual Flower Festival takes place around the Manschnow community center. If you would like to plan your trip around the festival, check the specific event dates in advance. The long-standing gardening tradition and seasonal greenhouse shop offer two different perspectives on the timing of this theme.

More to explore in the wider Küstriner Vorland destination

The approximately 213-hectare Oderinsel Küstrin-Kietz nature reserve is located in the municipality of Küstriner Vorland, within the wider Küstriner Vorland destination. It includes parts of the Küstrin-Kietz cadastral district and lies directly east of the built-up area of Küstrin-Kietz. Fort Gorgast is also part of the wider Küstriner Vorland destination. It was built from April 26, 1883, to July 1889 as one of the four outer forts of the city of Küstrin. The fort was intended to control the western bank of the Oder and serve as a refuge for possible troop movements. Its architecture is defined by massive walls, tunnels and vaulted chambers. Fort Gorgast hosts an annual military and civilian history gathering; if you would like to plan your trip around it, check the specific dates in advance.

The active pursuits in the wider Küstriner Vorland destination also offer different experiences: in Küstrin-Kietz, the Oder-Neiße Cycle Route runs directly along the top of the dike, while Gorgast is associated with canoeing.
