The Historic Promenades start at the car park for Romantik Bad Rehburg, Friedrich-Stolberg-Allee 4, 31547 Rehburg-Loccum. They pass viewpoints and resting places dedicated to members of the House of Welf. The Forest Adventure Trail in the Rehburg Hills is about 2.3 kilometres long and forms part of the circular hiking trail network of the town of Rehburg-Loccum. Interactive features provide information about the forest, trees and plants, as well as the animals that live there. The Romantik Bad Rehburg car park at Friedrich-Stolberg-Allee 4 is about 2.1 kilometres from the start of the Forest Adventure Trail.

In Bad Rehburg, the Brothers Grimm Fairy-Tale Trail follows the Historic Promenades in the Rehburg Hills; fairy tales and legends come to life there through wooden fairy-tale figures. Stations 1 to 22 form a circular route of about six kilometres, which now starts in Drei-Teiche-Park. The two trails therefore differ in both theme and length: forest knowledge along about 2.3 kilometres on the Forest Adventure Trail, and fairy-tale motifs on a circular route of around six kilometres on the Fairy-Tale Trail.

Romanticism and spa history

Romantik Bad Rehburg is a unique architectural and cultural monument in Germany from the Romantic period. Friederikenkapelle is a unique monument of particular historical and artistic significance. The “Spa Life in the Romantic Period” exhibition is housed in twelve former bathing cabinets in the New Bathhouse. It explores the Romantic period, historical spa life, the history of spa operations and the significance of water.
