Rabenkirchen-Faulück takes shape for travellers through the interplay between its waterside setting and its architectural and art history. At the bathing area, the Schlei offers a place for water sports; the church and three-sided farmstead open up historical themes. Stenerberg Golf Course adds a clearly defined sporting option. You can therefore tailor the focus of your stay to the interests that appeal to you most.

Waterside on the Schlei

The Rabenkirchen-Faulück bathing area lies on the Schlei and is used for swimming; there is no DLRG lifeguard supervision there. You can also launch a stand-up paddleboard, and there is a slipway for boats. A kiosk and a restaurant are located at the campsite opposite the bathing area. If you plan to use these facilities, check their opening hours in advance. Also check the water access conditions before using the bathing area.

Stenerberg Golf Course: Play and Practice

Stenerberg Golf Course in Rabenkirchen-Faulück is a 9-hole course with a par of 70. From the yellow tees, it measures 5,174 metres. The facility includes a partially covered driving range, putting and chipping greens, and a 6-hole short course. This means that, in addition to the regular course, there are dedicated practice facilities and a shorter course. Green fees are available for visitors; tee times do not need to be booked. Before travelling, check the course information, practice facilities and visitor playing rules.

St Mary’s Church and a Three-Sided Farmstead: History in Different Forms

St Mary’s Church in Rabenkirchen brings together several eras. Its Romanesque fieldstone structure dates from the late 12th century. The tower room contains paintings from the first third of the 17th century: large figures of the Apostles are depicted in richly decorated late Renaissance frames. The paintings are a very rare testament to the flourishing of art in the Schleswig region in the early 17th century. The pulpit and organ also have their own histories: Berend Cornellissen carved the pulpit in Husum in 1637; the organ was built in 1697, probably by Matthias Hansen.

The listed three-sided farmstead at Karschau 10 offers a different glimpse of rural architectural culture. It was built directly beside the Schlei in the last quarter of the 19th century; the farmhouse dates from around 1880. The farmstead illustrates rural domestic culture in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Together with St Mary’s Church, it offers a look at different architectural and art-historical features, although the two examples do not belong to the same era.
