Architectural history and remembrance in Auw bei Prüm
The parish church of St Peter and Paul in Auw bei Prüm is a late Gothic hall church with a massive west tower. It dates mainly from around 1511/31. There is also an elaborate post-Baroque altar cross from the early 19th century on Lindenweg in Auw bei Prüm. The Streckhof at Mühlenweg 1 in Auw bei Prüm was a farmhouse with a central hallway kitchen and was probably built around the middle of the 18th century or shortly afterwards; the outbuildings are probably more recent.
A memorial at the former court hill in Auw bei Prüm commemorates the local parish priest Michael Campensis. In April 1627, he was convicted of witchcraft on Radsberg and executed by burning.
