Egenhausen offers a range of reasons to stay: a walk through the village and its meadow landscape, the natural area around Egenhäuser Kapf, and a playground for small children. When planning your trip, you can decide whether to focus on hiking trails or on a family-oriented day out.

Around the oak grove, oil mill and meadows

The Naturpark AugenBlick circular trail leads through Egenhausen, along the historic oak grove and past the oil mill. It then crosses open meadows on its way back to the starting point. This sequence links distinctive stops with a sense of open landscape, giving the route its own character.

For hikers who find the longer loop too long, there is a shorter AugenBlick loop, 6.5 kilometres in length. This gives you a choice between the longer loop and a shorter option with a clearly stated distance. Both figures can help you plan your hiking day to suit the distance you want to cover.

Kapf and a playground for small children

The Egenhäuser Kapf nature reserve lies between the Upper Gäu and the Black Forest plateau. The Altensteig Nature Adventure Trail also passes over Kapf, among other places. The landscape and the trail therefore offer two distinct ways to enjoy a nature- and hiking-focused stay.

The playground in the residential area offers a different kind of outing. It is designed for small children and has various swings, spring riders, a zip line, a climbing frame and a sandbox. As the facilities may change, check the details before visiting.

Bus connections and finding accommodation

Bus services run from Egenhausen to Altensteig and Nagold. If you plan to use these connections, check the current timetable before travelling. This lets you focus your search on your preferred destination without having to commit to a specific day-trip plan in advance.
