Schluchsee has 160 kilometres of marked hiking and cycling trails. This gives you the choice of exploring on foot or by bike. One clearly defined option is the family-friendly Schluchsee Tour: it is 17.87 kilometres long, rated easy and follows mostly flat paths around the lake. The starting point is the Schluchsee Tourist Information Office. This lets you compare a set route with the wider choice of marked trails and plan according to the type of tour you prefer.

The Lake Night Festival and glassworks history

The Lake Night Festival takes place every year in early August and is organised by the municipality’s many clubs and associations. If you would like to include the festival in your travel plans, check the specific event dates in advance.

The exhibition at the Aeule Glassworks Cabinet, Fischbacher Straße 7, 79859 Schluchsee, offers a cultural perspective on the town.
