Maps can also be downloaded and printed. This lets you prepare your route before setting out and tailor your plans to your chosen trail.
Olzheim can be reached by car from the A1 and A60 motorways via the B51; temporary roadworks or closures may affect access by road. Olzheim is also a starting point for cycling and mountain biking tours. Route connections and access points for these tours may change.
Chapels and historical traces
The Marienkapelle (Chapel of St Mary) in Knaufspesch was built over two and a half years, with 7,000 hours of volunteer work. It is available for church services and concerts; whether a concert takes place depends on the local programme. The Afelskreuz is southwest of Olzheim, beside a country lane. It is a late Gothic niche cross dating from 1613.
The history of the church in Olzheim, associated with Saint Brictius, is traced back to around 800. A new St Brictius Church was consecrated on 27 October 1924. Together with the chapels and the Afelskreuz, these historical traces add a cultural dimension to your stay beyond the hiking trails.
