Nadrensee between lakes, cycling route and village church
Accommodation in Nadrensee
Nadrensee lies between three lakes. Water, outdoor activities and architectural history offer different ways to experience the village. There is a hiking trail at Dammsee, Route 10 – East of the Randowbruch passes through Nadrensee on its way, and the church combines fieldstone architecture from the early 14th century with a bell from the late 17th century. If you are looking for accommodation, you can plan your stay around these specific interests: hiking, cycling, fishing or historic architectural styles.
Lakes, hiking trail and fishing
There is a hiking trail at Dammsee in Nadrensee. You can also fish, with a fishing permit, in four local waters: Dammsee, Priestersee, Schmiedesee and Karutzenbruch. Their areas offer a concrete comparison: Karutzenbruch covers 6 ha, Dammsee 5.38 ha, Priestersee 3.37 ha and Schmiedesee 3.32 ha. At 6 ha, Karutzenbruch is the largest of these four waters; Priestersee and Schmiedesee are similar in area. Hiking at Dammsee and fishing in several waters offer different ways to spend the day. This overview is valid from January 1, 2026; check the fishing rules and permit requirements again before fishing.
Cycling on Route 10
Route 10 – East of the Randowbruch runs from Storkow through Nadrensee to Ladenthin. Nadrensee is therefore located between two named places on the route. The route is about 49 km long and rated moderate; both details refer to the route as a whole. This offers a different way to plan your trip than the local hiking trail at Dammsee: here, the focus is on a longer, graded cycling route, while the trail at Dammsee is for hiking.
The route follows quiet country and village roads, cycle paths and a forest track. These types of paths are found along the route as a whole; conditions on individual sections may change. So check current route conditions before setting off.
Church and architectural history
The church in Nadrensee is a small, irregularly coursed fieldstone building from the early 14th century. It has a free-standing bell frame dating to around 1700. The bell itself was cast in 1693 by Johann Jacob Mangold. The altar reredos features paintings of the Deposition from the Cross and the Last Supper. The church brings together features from different periods: the medieval building, the later bell frame and the even older bell.
The Nadrensee manor house is a two-storey, eleven-bay rendered building with a half-hipped roof. It has a different architectural style from the church: the manor house’s impression is shaped by its storeys, façade bays, rendered walls and roof, while the church is described as a fieldstone building with a bell frame. The church and manor house thus offer two different ways to explore the village’s architectural history.
